Q: What made you become interested in real estate?

A: My aunt has been a Realtor for years, and it's something that always intrigued me. I love when clients step into a house and realize it's the one.

Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted?

A: I wouldn't say it's interesting, but someone who came to my open house decided to pull the kitchen exhaust fan on. It was SO LOUD and we couldn't get it off & I couldn't reach my sellers. It sounded like the house might take off! My seller arrived towards the end and we were able to turn off the fan. We then got the house under contract the next day for over asking!

Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far?

A: One of my favorite moments was when a buyer client brought me a sweet card and gift when we went to get her keys. She had a travel mug made that said Best Realtor Ever with my name on it, and she really meant it. I didn't expect it at all -- I normally get them housewarming gifts! I felt so proud and really felt I'd made a smart career move.

Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license?

A: I wish I'd realized how many people think they can get something for nothing! It's still amazing to me how many people believe they can purchase a property without proof of funds or being forthright about their situation.

Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started?

A: I've watched how quickly the market can swing in a short period of time and how much people are willing to pay for what they want. It's been eye-opening.

Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?

A: The most challenging part can be balancing everything and making sure that along with all my clients' needs being met, that I'm taking care of myself too. I work really hard and want to get things accomplished as quickly as possible. Not everyone has the same intensity and feeling of urgency as I do.

Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say?

A: Challenging, fulfilling, fun & intense.
