Greg Kolandjian New Castle Group

Experience: 7 years Specializations: Home Sellers/Buyers and Military Relocation Areas Served: Stafford, Prince Williams, Fredericksburg, Fairfax, Spotsylvania and Alexandria Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I owened rental properties and flipped house few times. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: The house sold from the 1st Open House. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: I was in the middle to helping a client to sell a home and purchase another home when the couple called me crying that the husband was diagnosed with brain cancer. This was one week before our closing on both sides of selling and buying another home. I was able to void the purchase contract and get them their deposit back, on the selling side we also voided the contract so they can stay at their current home. The wife thanked me and said she did not want her husband to die in the middle of the move, and wanted him to enjoy the few days/months he have left to live. At that moment, I did not care about the commission, all I wanted to do is find a way to break both contracts without getting them in trouble with the other sides so they don't. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: I wish I knew not to spend money on buying leads from Zillow and others. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: There are a lot of services now that exists that we did not have before. Some will hinder our business and others will help improve it. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: It is saying no to rental referrals they I receive from past clients that are very far from my area. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Assist, educate, serve, guide and followup.
