H. Dwayne Davis The Agency

Experience: 15 years Specializations: Family homes and Investment Properties in the Portland Metro Areas Served: Portland Metro, Lake Oswego Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I had purchased a few properties and always felt that the process was unnecessarily stressful.  I have focused on creating a process that takes the stress off of my clients. Buying a home or investent property with us is always easier than expected.  And we are here to be helpful after the sale closes. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A:  A prospective buyer who had been with his realtor came back and hour later and said, "Not going to buy this house, but I want to work with you to buy my next house." Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: I helped a young man who was in desperate need to change living situation to find a lender and purchase a home. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: The importance of my reputation within the realtor community.  I am known as a drama free agent. That goes a long way in getting my client's offer accepted. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: We do less face to face business.  I have to work harder now to ensure that my clients are fully informed and aware of what they are signing. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: I say I am the rock in every transaction.  So much is at stake in every transaction that it can be stressful.  I try to be the solid steady person that all parties can trust and lean on to keep us moving forward or remain calm if we have to decide to end the transaction. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Helping folks make good decisions.
