Experience: 35 years Specializations: Certified Buyers Agent, Certified Relocation Specialist, Certified Negotiation Specialist,(GRI)Graduate Real Estate Institute, (CRS) Certified Residential Specialist Areas Served: Colorado Front Range: Boulder, Louisville, Broomfield, Lafayette, Frederick, Firestone, Erie, Longmont, Lyons, Berthoud, Nederland Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I originally started with Thompson Builders, where I was building log mountain homes in Boulder. I was unhappy with the realtors who were representing my homes, so I decided to get my license myself. Not only was it a very lucrative business, I found that I enjoyed the selling side of real estate much more.  I was asked by friends to help them find their new home, got involved with corporate relocation, such as STC , miniscrive, max door, IMB, etc. to handle relocation of new hires that were being brought into the areas and found myself enjoying the listing and selling of homes. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A:  An immediate purchase - and a continued client from then on out. The buyer walked through the hall, after presenting the home in detail, they decided to purchase the home. Then I listed their current home for sale, and they have been long-time clients ever since. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: I have received several top production awards, numerous letters and emails and cards from clients thanking me for taking care of them throughout their home purchase, sale, and experience. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A:  How enjoyable and satisfying it is to find homes for people, and to interact with buyers and sellers and to help them with their real estate profits. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A:  It was much more personable in the beginning and meeting with buyers and sellers;, however, with the use of the internet, and almost everything being system-based and internet driven, it's gotten a lot less personable. I try to keep that side of real estate active, still working to have meaningful interactions with my buyers and sellers as much as possible Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: The market is moving very fast, and therefore I must always be on top of the current market status and conditions, for the sake of my clients. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A:  Very satisfying and highly engaging.
