Q: What made you become interested in real estate?
A: It was a family business

Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted?
A:  Had a client come in and spend the full 2 hours at the open house. Then upon me not wanting to kick them out, politely saying that I needed to pack up, they handed me an offer. I had put in the MLS that offers would not be reviewed until after the open house. They really wanted it and they bought it.

Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far?
A: Proudest moment: referrals. Every referral is so meaningful to me. It is a reflection on the job my team continues to do. Most heartwarming: a client that at closing on her first home (she was in her 50s) broke down and began crying for nearly 10 minutes (a really long time to be crying.). She never thought she would be able to own a home and before signing asked everyone for a hug. Inspiring moment: I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity on a day build to help an elderly Veteran here in Napa stay in his home. In one day we cleaned up his yard, fixed his roof, painted the interior and made the home livable again.

Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license?
A:  How hard this job is. You are not just helping people buy and sell. You need to be a strong marketer, counselor, handyman/contractor… and sales person.

Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started?
A: Technology keeps being disruptive, but it was and I believe, always will be, a relationship business. I always want to be viewed as a trusted advisor.

Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?
A: Keeping work time out of family time.

Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say?
A: Make Friends, Serve people.
