Maria Nunez

Maria Nunez eXp Realty

Experience: 14 years Specializations: Traditional sales, short sales and foreclosures Areas Served: All San Gabriel Valley, Pico Rivera, Montebello, East Los Angeles, Pomona Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: Becoming self-employed and spending time with family. But, most important is to give extraordinary service to all homeowners. One agent doesn't fit all. I believe in honesty and integrity and I wouldn't do it any other way. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: A visitor fell asleep in the bed... Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A:  A first-time home buyer that had been trying to purchase a home for about 2 plus years. He came to me and asked if I could help him. I graciously worked with him towards his goals and within 6 months he was a proud homeowner. It wasn't an easy road; we had many obstacles and through faith he overcame them and he is a proud homeowner. Delivering the keys was the most important reward in my life. The smiles on their faces are completely unforgettable.  Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A:   There is no manual on how to handle objections and obstacles. Nobody said it was going to be hard. But I wished I would have known an icon agent to show me the good habits. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A:  When I started, the Internet was just beginning. But now it seems that technology is rapidly evolving and making our jobs a lot easier. Real estate has changed drastically in the last 10 years, due to so much technology and buyers/sellers having everything in their fingertips. I believe you can purchase anything online, but a home is much more serious, because title issues, liens, etc. regardless of virtual tours, people still need to walk in the door to see it physically.   Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A:  It takes hard work, dedication and perseverance to become successful. The most challenging is competition, because our main goal is to bring value to the customer.  Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A:  Do not quit and persevere.
