Loueen Rosenbush Tompkins Cortland Real Estate, LLC

Experience: Over 12 years as an agent and an REO Asset Manager Specializations: REOs (foreclosures), first-time home buyers, investors Areas Served: Central New York State: Fingerlakes, Cortland County, Tompkins County Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I wanted to work my own schedule and have unlimited income potential Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A:  I've met lots of interesting people, but the best moment is when a young family stayed the entire time and after everyone left, they asked to write a full price offer! Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A:  It is always heartwarming to see home buyers get their first home, but it makes me the proudest when they call me to sell it to buy their second or an investment property! Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A:  Selling real estate is a really hard job and it is easy to work 24 hours a day.  But, putting family first should always be top priority. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A:  I feel old, but we didn't have cell phones or computers when I started in 1986. We had MLS listing sheets that were printed and distributed via hard copy and we had to keep our books up-to-date with daily changes. Technology has changed the way we operate, but it is still exactly the same working with clients and customer service should always be our top priority, not technology.   Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Technology is occasionally challenging like when I have to use a cell phone app to open the doors when I am showing properties and I have no cell service in that area.
