Experience: 28 years Specializations: Residential, land, multi-family, investment properties. Areas Served: Carson City, Dayton, Minden, Gardnerville, Washoe Valley, Stage Coach, parts of Reno Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I was the person who always went to every new home tract just to look at the models. My husband and I flipped our first home at age 24. I just always loved it. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A:   I had to go to a wedding after an open house so I brought in the wedding presents and was wrapping them and some people came in looked at the house and sold it. The lady loved the island that I was wrapping the presents on! Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: My most gratifying transaction was for a buyer who was a single grandmother. She worked full-time at a grocery store to support her wheelchair-bound daughter and her granddaughter that was 3 years old. I helped her get qualified for a grant program and was able to find her a house with all laminate flooring for her daughter. I was able to get the seller to contribute to the buyers closing costs and she got in for no out of pocket. She got all the inspections paid for and the home warranty plus got her earnest money deposit returned at closing. We all cried the day I gave her the keys. We really can make a difference in people’s lives. That is why I love real estate! Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A:  How to write an offer. They do not teach you that in Real Estate School! Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A:  When I started we had a book! No computers, cell phones, color printers! But soon after, things started changing and computers were introduced. What a game changer! Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Keeping up with Social Media. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Can’t imagine doing anything else!
