Brentwood Bergmann

Brentwood Bergmann Coldwell Banker Select Real Estate

Experience: 33 years in sales and marketing, one year as a real estate agent Specializations: The sale and listing of single family homes. Areas Served: Virtually anywhere in Northern Nevada including Tahoe and Virginia City. Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: The flexibility of hours, and it always helps to know more. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: A person came in and said this house is the one I saw in my dream, and after a few more months her dream came true. Her former house was in the horrible fires in Redding, California only a few days after seeing the new one. I enjoy having made her and her husbands dream a reality. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: My most favorite moment in my career was totally completing a listing agreement over the phone getting the confidence of the seller, listing their home quickly, selling it the 4th day for $5500 over the asking price, and wrapping up the sale, all before anyone could say “what’s happening?” It was the very first one as well. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: I wish that I had known that real estate could be so intricate, and diverse, and interesting. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A:  One of the most curious things about the real estate industry is the upturns and market adjustments that happen over the years, if you are a real student of the market you can watch and take advantage of these turns. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: he most challenging part of the job, is remembering all the dates and times that people want you to reach out to them and staying on top of the appointments. Some people don’t like the negotiation part of the job but to me that’s one of the most fun and interesting. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: “What’s Best for My Client.” The rest will follow once that idea has been determined.
