Danielle Russodivito Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate

Experience: 4 years Specializations: First Time Home Buyers. Buyers, Sellers, Investors, Landlords, Renters. Areas Served: Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Morris & Hudson County NJ; Rockland, Orange, Westchester & Bronx County NY Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: In 2010, when I purchased my first condo. I loved the whole process of searching for homes online, and touring them in person. I have a little bit of background in construction between friends and family, so renovating and staging also intrigued me. I also have worked over 12 years in customer service, and absolutely love to see a smile on the customer’s face when you have exceeded their needs and satisfaction. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A:   Open houses are pretty basic for me. I have not had any crazy or interesting stories except just giving the customers tours of the property and showing them the possibilities or pointing out the features that they may not have seen on their own. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: My proudest moment was when I received Rookie of the Year for the whole franchise of Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate in the USA & Canada. That was a very big accomplishment. I also had a buyer who was looking to buy a big home with 20 bedrooms for his whole family (brothers, sisters, children for both and the parents) I was not able to find him a 20 bedroom home, but was able to find him 4 beautiful mansions next to each other where each sibling can live and that equaled 24 bedrooms total. He was very satisfied that I met his needs in such a strange circumstance, and that was all thinking outside the box. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A:  I started in 2013, the market was still pretty slow since the market crash in 2008. I have seen the market raise drastically in the last 4 years and it has changed from a buyers market to a seller's market, with bidding wars if priced correctly. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: I always make a joke with my clients that the hardest part of my job is sometimes opening the doors. Whether the key doesn't turn easily or the doors are older and you need to push a little. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Hard-work, Dedication, Passion, Negotiating Skills, Humble.
