Q: What made you become interested in real estate?

A: I’ve always been interested in the architecture of homes and interior design. And by chance I became a Realtor.

Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted?

A:   Well, what comes to mind is a house that was in Short Sale. I knew the house needed a lot of work, but I was in for a surprise. It was vacant and had been for a while. The yard was completely overgrown, and the pool was green/black.  The owners had had many animals in the house and it showed and smelled. When I opened a kitchen cabinet I heard bugs running to hide, and when I looked up in the ceiling there were big termite holes. One lady who came and checked out the garage screamed "RAAATS"....I just wanted to die. I still received 6 offers on the house!

Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far?

A: When I helped an old man buy a mobile home. He was sick and had very little money to buy a home, so he got the mobile home for $36,000 and he was over the moon HAPPY!

Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license?

A: How super important it is to follow up! To create a good CRM, and when someone rejects you and say "no," it only means "not now". It's a numbers game!

Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started?

A:  Wow! I got my licence right after hurricane Wilma, when we were out of power for 14 days, and NO ONE wanted to move here! Then we got the crazy sellers market in 2006 and 2007 and then the market crash in 2008. Short sales and foreclosures were a daily occurrence. It took awhile before the market leveled out and got more stable. What a ride!

Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?

A: As a Realtor you wear many hats. From dealing with sellers, buyers and investors, to handling marketing, budget, branding, and generating leads. Negotiating skills. Never a dull moment!

Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say?

A: Always go the extra mile!
