Leah Baxter Re/Max Properties of the Summit

Experience: 12 years Specializations: I specialize in the second home resort property market Areas Served: Frisco, Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mtn., Silverthorne and Dillon. Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I enjoy the diversity of the marketplace, and I enjoy helping people find their special place in the mountains and the lifestyle. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A:  Saw a moose outside the front door! Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: When I helped a person move out of a bad situation and found them the perfect property and situation. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A:  To qualify people immediately and determine their intentions. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: The emergence of the Internet, social media, virtual tours, and real time inventory. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Lack of inventory. I am in a second home market, so it is a luxury to purchase a property and not a necessity, so it is challenging as people are not usually in any rush. Our prices continue to increase so many people end up getting priced out of the market by waiting. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Independent, inspiring, challenging, hard work, never a dull moment.
