Q: What made you interested in Real Estate?

A: Traded up to get my 2nd home.

Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted?

A: The hot water tank blew up.

Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far?

A: Helped a young lady in a violent divorce sell her home and then get a new home. That Christmas got a card from her and her daughter with a Christmas tree and some gifts. Card said. "First Christmas tree for my daughter with presents. Thank you."

Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license?

A: How to shake off a bad phone call.

Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started?

A: Today there are more disclosures and protection that help and protect the buyer. In the beginning, there was no buyer agency, limited information on history of home and improvements. Contracts were two pages and maybe an FHA or VA addendum had six copies because lawyers wanted a wet signature, today 28 pages is a short contract.

Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?

A: In today's world communication is often not one on one or face-to-face. Understanding emotions when there is no verbal expression can create issues. Today everything is now immediate gratification is the word of the day.

Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say?

A: Ask and then listen.
