Josue Tirado Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate

Experience: 6 years Specializations: Marketing homes for sale, certified probate specialist Areas Served: Silicon Valley, Bay Area Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I became invested in Real Estate because I felt that I could serve people the comfort that they need while going through the selling and purchasing process. I did not recognize the stress buyer and sellers went through until shortly after friends and family members were having issues with purchase of their home. I knew I was capable of helping them have a better experience that they deserved and keeping them informed of the stages and processes that were taking place during the sale of a home. I pride myself in keeping my clients calm. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: No questions asked and the buyer was ready to place an offer immediately, which tells me the importance of staging, marketing and or presenting a seller’s home correctly. Excited to see the next buyer wanting to do the same. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: My proudest moment in my career of real estate was putting myself in position to make a change for those around me. Year after year I’m constantly evolving and making my business practices better for those I serve. From going to national, state and local conferences, I am always learning something new and keeping my mind open for the betterment of our industry. So, my proudest moment would have to be when I received my license, as the inspiration to be of service has never stopped since then. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: That setting your own schedule is not truly determined by you, but by those you serve - otherwise you are not in business. It’s our responsibility to make sure we are making the most with the time we are allotted to serve our clients; then and only then will you see growth and development. Mentorship at the beginning of my career was huge for me, otherwise I would not be where I am today. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: I started real estate in 2011 right at the near end of the last recession, where I have seen markets at their near lowest price point. The industry comes and goes in waves according to some experts, and we have been on a consistent climb since then. Every market is different, and every buyer and seller have different reasons to why they feel they need to buy and sell now. Let’s see if the the time is right for you and see how I can help you. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: The most challenging part of my job deals with keeping cooperating parties of each transaction on task, informed and on schedule to meet the contractual obligation. We understand that extensions have to be given at times, but we should also try to avoid them if possible. There is much more to this but great communication between all parties involved throughout the whole transaction is very important. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Knowledgeable, compassionate, negotiator, marketing expert.
