Kellie Bowling ReMax Elite

Experience: 1 year Specializations: Military Relocation, VA loans, and First Time Homebuyers. Areas Served: All of Brevard County - Serving the Space Coast! Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I was an assistant to a high producing realtor about 14 years ago, and I fell in love with the industry then. I was licensed previously in another state, and just recently made the decision to jump back into it after a 12 year break and relocating to Florida. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: I’ve only hosted two so far, so the most interesting thing for me would be talking to somebody who is actually interested in buying the house! Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: So far, my favorite moment was when I was able to sell my best friend her very first house. She was my first closing in Florida! Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: I’m sure this will change as I get more experience in my field, but I wish I had known more about a seller’s ability to have their mortgages assumed - I think that would be a big selling point on some properties and help them to sell their homes faster. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: When I was first licensed back in 2005, everybody qualified for a loan. You get a loan, you get a loan, everybody gets a loan! Now, lenders are much stricter in qualifying borrowers, and I think while that has limited the pool of buyers, it is a good thing and has done wonders to bring our market back up after the crash in 2008. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Trying to not want to buy all the houses for myself! Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: I was born for this.
