Patricia Cote

Patricia Cote Keller Williams Benchmark Properties

Experience: I have 17+ yrs of being an active REALTOR® Specializations:  I sell condos, townhouses, single family, 1-4 units, have sold only one mobile home. Areas Served: I work in Alameda County for the most part and mostly in Fremont, Newark, Union City and Hayward. Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I have been interested in the process that goes along with selling real estate all my adult life. Always loved different neighborhoods and how friendly everyone was at open houses. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A:  I ALWAYS tell the seller to take their controlled medications and all jewelry out of the house prior to an open house. This one client did not do it, but instead hid the jewelry, and of course a professional theft knows exactly where to look and when to come in, and much of her jewelry was stolen. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: I have so many wonderful clients and it’s difficult to pick my favorite moment. For a seller it would be when I listed a townhouse in probably 2006 for an amount that was comparable with others on the market and received 26 offers. The sellers were ecstatic as was I. For buyers, most memorable is when I door knocked for them and they wanted a specific place and I was able to put a deal together... buyers were so excited and happy about it. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A:  How much time one puts into this business. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: Technology.... BIG time! Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Keeping up with technology; it is changing so much and so fast. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Fun, exciting, always learning, meeting new people.
