Roman Lomeli

Roman Lomeli eXp Realty

Experience: 6 years Specializations: I specialize in first time home buyers and move up buyers, and also homes in rural areas. Areas Served: Forsyth County, Davie County, Yadkin County, and Davidson County Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: HGTV and Realtors that I have run across in life. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: Open houses aren’t the most eventful outside of selling the home I was conducting the open house on, or picking up new clients, or having neighbors come in and tell me all the neighborhood gossip. I've had an open house on a home that didn’t have much parking and it was on a busier road, so it was causing a traffic jam for people to come in and leave the open house. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: Working on getting higher end deals put together is always exciting, but honestly taking someone that thinks they have no chance of getting a home and helping them find the solutions to their problems is amazing and heartwarming every time. Those are the moments that warm my heart and the reason I keep going. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: Being easily accessible to your clients at all times is HUGE! Also you really learn with every single deal; no deal is identical. If I could go back and teach myself something it would be how to problem solve, how to get creative, and how to find solutions to all problems from repairs to loans to contracts. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: When I started, I worked with majority of investors, helping them pick up beat up foreclosures and flip them. Now there are not as many foreclosures around, so I focus on helping families find the right homes for their situation! That is one major obvious change. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: The paperwork! I love the house hunting, I love the negotiations, I love the face to face aspect of the business, because I am such a people person, but the challenging part is the hundreds of emails and hours of paperwork that must be done per transaction. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Helping People Find Home.
